"Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do." -- John Wooden

Bethany Liebig – Hartford HS – The camp was fundamentally sound. Thanks for all of the help! I’m graduating but I hope my little sister attends the camp. Camp rating – Excellent - 2007

Meredith Corsi – Holy Names HS – I liked doing the moves without a ball to better understand them. I also liked the coaches and the packet of material provided. Camp rating – Excellent - 2007

Kate Donlon – Richford HS (northern Vermont) - I learned more about the post position in just a couple days at this basketball camp than I have ever in all my years playing ball. The coaches were excellent at teaching the fundamentals of the post position that are too often overlooked by others. The more advanced moves really have expanded my options when it comes to game time. As I continue to practice what I was taught after I returned home, I'm amazed to see how much my game has improved. There is no other camp out their like this one. I would recommend it to anybody, no matter how far away you live, to attend if you really want to become the best post player you can be. Even if it meant sleeping in a tent for another week, I would do it again to learn how to play the post at the Capital District Post Players basketball camp! Camp rating – Excellent - 2007
Sarah Long – Home schooled - I like how we were grouped according to skill level – it was really challenging. Thanks - I can’t wait to see how these skills will pay off during the season. Camp rating – Excellent - 2006

Michelle Rochford – Shenendehowa HS – I learned to always be confident and practice, practice, practice. Camp rating – Excellent - 2006

Anonymous – I learned more than I ever thought I could. The coaches were helpful and I was challenged. Camp rating – Excellent - 2006

Rachel Crittendon – Our Lady of Lourdes HS – I liked the variety of moves, the coaches’ feedback and the competition. Camp rating – Excellent - 2006

Darien Fancher – Gloversville HS – I learned a lot of post moves so I can do a different one each time. Camp rating – Good - 2006
Out of the many basketball camps that I've been to, I've found the Capital District Post Players Camp to be the best at teaching the fundamentals of post play. I was not only able to perfect my post moves and learn new moves, but was also able to practice what I learned against players who could challenge me. Even when I thought I had a post move perfected, a coach could still make a correction on my fake or my angle to the basket. These small corrections greatly improved my game. Most importantly, I was given a list of the drills that I was taught, so I could continue to practice after camp. Carolyn Miller, Our Lady of Lourdes HS (2005)

I learned a lot of moves – this gave me confidence to use more of the. Lauren Finnessey, Voorheesville HS (2005)

I had so much fun and learned more than I thought I could. Meghan Porpeglia, Maple Hill HS (2005)

I learned to take my time while in the post. Abby Johnson, Fort Edward HS (2005)

The most important thing I learned was how to do a hook shot. Staci McElroy, Mohonasen HS (2005)

As a parental aside, I was really impressed with the passion and enthusiasm displayed by the entire staff. The camp was a tremendous value – thanks for the tuteledge. James McElroy, parent

I think all of the different moves learned will help me to be less predictable. Kate Pendergast, Voorheesville HS (2005)

I liked the way players were divided into groups. Nicole Stock, Johnstown HS (2005)

All of the counselors were really nice and helpful even if you were not in their group. Katie Cocca, Niskayuna HS (2005)

I liked the fast movement and the daily review. Courtney Caris, Ballston Spa HS (2005)

The coaches were very knowledgeable and were willing to show a move more than once so players could learn it. Alicia Biernik, Maple Hill HS (2005)

Many moves that were taught could help make me a better player. Brittany Stahura, Amsterdam HS (2005)

I liked how the groups were organized. Crissy Sturgeon, Shaker HS (2005)

Just wanted to comment Amy has learned so much from the camp & was so excited about everything she learned. Her various comments: "no one even taught me all this time about having your hand up like a box with the fingers open" "I wish I would have known about this camp when I was younger" "everyone is so nice" "I love my coach"...... Please let everyone involved in the camp know how wonderful they were. From the coaches, the trainer, to the speakers. There were so many positive role models - I was so impressed, along with Amy. Everyone was patient & very supportive. If you were to know my daughter, you would know that when asked questions about camp, her usual answers are "it was fine" or "it was okay". I just want you to know that last night Amy's coach left a message asking her how her knee was & how her camp was and Amy called & left a message back "the camp was awesome!". So that pretty much sums it up there. Thank you again for everything & Amy looks forward to attending next year - hopefully with some of her teammates. Sheila Carrollo, Parent - 2004

I learned so much at this camp and feel that the coaches have been so nice and eager to help. I’m looking forward to next year. – Amy Carrollo, Arlington H.S. – 2004

Our daughter learned a tremendous amount at your camp! This was the first camp that focused on the post-player moves and she feels like she has power tools to put more into her game. She is practicing her moves daily with her Dad and she knows she will climb that "moves ladder" to success with plenty of hard work! Thanks for the inspiration. Betsy gained alot of confidence from working with your fabulous coaching staff. They gave her invaluable advice and were wonderful role models. She could not say enough positive things about all the coaches at CD Post-Players Camp. Congratulations on recruiting the best and brightest! So, thanks a million for providing this opportunity! Betsy will definitely be back next year! – Ann Sullivan, Parent - 2004

I learned to have an open mind and not be afraid to try new moves. – Emily Archer, Middleburgh H.S. - 2004

I learned so many new post moves, it helped me tremendously. – Chrissy Hoffman, Bethlehem H.S. -2004

My two daughters attended your camp last week and I had the pleasure of watching most of it. I've been coaching girl's basketball for 7 years, and having two daughters playing from 4th grade on, I've seen a lot of camps. Yours is, by far, the BEST camp I've seen. My girls loved it. Both of them are primarily small forwards, but now have a newfound love of "posting up", due to you and your outstanding staff of coaches. My younger child, in particular, has been practicing hook shots every day since the camp ended. I love the excitement. I just wanted to say thanks. – Jerry Adach, parent
